Giving Tuesday 2025

As we celebrate the lives of those living with HIV and AIDS and cherish the memories of those who have transitioned, we want to express our gratitude to each of you for your kindness, financial support, and prayers directed toward the 27 children we serve through CHOAIDS. If someone had told me 22 years ago, when God placed this mission in my heart, that a community of people would join me in this journey, I would have felt less scared about everything. The longer I serve God through this work, the more I realize that CHOAIDS was founded to create a nontraditional family for these children and to bring together people from diverse backgrounds to advocate for them.

On this World AIDS Day and Giving Tuesday, we are raising $30,000 to help us accomplish these things for our children: Christmas presents, a new outfit, including shoes, for each child, secure school lunches, and transportation to doctors’ visits for the next three months.

As a small organization that relies on donations to meet the needs of this vulnerable population, we often worry about finances. In the past, Giving Tuesday has provided us with enough donations to get started in the dry month of January. But as our child population grows, so do our expenses. 

Over the past two decades, CHOAIDS has built a community of individuals from different sectors and walks of life to benefit the children in our care. We trust you will help us continue the tradition of raising more than we need for Giving Tuesday so that we have sufficient resources for the children come January. 

Even if HIV/AIDS is not your primary cause, like our all-volunteer board of directors and our supportive friends, we encourage you to contribute whatever you can to help us through this critical time.
