About Oscar

Fourteen-year-old Oscar came to CHOAIDS when he was just seven years old. He does not know his parents. Oscar was abandoned at Grace Children’s Hospital, where he was receiving care for tuberculosis (TB). An HIV test revealed his HIV disease, which led the family member who brought him in for care to abandon him. After his TB treatment, the Grace Children’s Hospital contacted CHOAIDS to welcome him as one of the children in this nontraditional family.

Since living at the CHOAIDS home, Oscar has continued to thrive. He is very passionate about live soccer and drawing. Oscar also enjoys playing computer games, which he learned from his training in CIMA. When asked what he wants to be when he grows up, he answers that he wants to be a fireman.
