Meet Guerbenson
About Guerbenson
After his mother passed away from AIDS complications, Guerbenson was sent to live with his father. Unfortunately, his father was unable to feed him, resulting in him being malnourished and at risk for an infection like tuberculosis. Guerbenson’s situation got even worse when his grandmother stopped his TB and HIV treatments because she was unable to pay for transportation to and from Grace Children’s Hospital (GCH). Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the GCH team shared information about CHOAIDS with the grandmother, who gladly accepted the support the organization provides.
In early February 2023, just six days before leaving Port-au-Prince, eight-year-old Guerbenson joined the CHOAIDS family. He is a wonderful child who loves school and spending time with her brothers and sisters. He wants to be a professional soccer player when he grows up.
