Meet Angela

Angela came to CHOAIDS at six years old on Thanksgiving Day in 2011. Before coming to us, she lived with her mother after her father abandoned them. Angela’s mother struggled to provide for herself and her child since she did not have a stable job. When Angela fell seriously ill, her mother worked with her HIV care providers at Grace Children’s Hospital to locate a home for the child.

Now nineteen years old and almost ready to live independently from CHOAIDS, Angela wants to continue her education and study civil engineering. As a pastime, she loves to solve difficult word problems.
