Clara came to live at CHOAIDS in early 2005 after being abandoned at the children’s TB hospital. The hospital workers were able to locate the woman who dropped her off for TB treatment and told her that Clara has been placed in a home where she is being cared for. We don’t have legal papers on Clara and therefore cannot pinpoint her exact age. Clara was never in school prior to coming to live at CHOAIDS. In addition to being HIV+, Clara also has vision problems and requires more care than the other children. She is an excellent child. She loves to play with her house brothers, sisters and her doll. Clara is the only one of our children who has not yet started ARV therapy. |
