CHOAIDS LETTER - NOV 28, 2005

Dear Friends,

I trust God is keeping you and your families safe.  In light of the holidays’ preparation, I’m writing to give you an update on the children of CHOAIDS, our progress, struggles and also to request your financial support.  By the grace of God all the children are doing well.  Haiti is still in turmoil and the situation is even worse since I left in May of this year.  I know you haven’t received a letter from us in a while, please don’t think that we no longer need your support, it is simply that I was extremely busy with my academics and did not have enough time to request funds for our children.  Yes, we are behind on a lot of things; we still owe $235 on our rent for this year.  Chantale had to beg and borrow to feed the children while waiting for money from me whatever I could to send her.

Friends, our children depend on your generous financial support to survive.  I know there are recent U.S. tragedies (e.g., Katrina and Wilma) which will be competing for your gifts this season, but please I want you to think of sharing a portion of what you will be giving with us.   Our kids have no where else to go for food.  One of our goals at CHOAIDS is to secure the basics for our children and I know with your help this goal will continue to be accomplished.  Let’s make your voices heard by helping me fight hunger and help those HIV-positive children live a decent life.  Please send your donations as soon as you can so that I can send them to Chantale so that they can start preparing for Christmas.  Together we will make a difference!
